Permanent jewellery in 5 easy steps
Step 1: Choose the chain
Help your customer select a chain style by displaying the most popular styles and colours. Goodman Bros has a variety of the hottest styles in various metals to suit all of your customers needs. An offering of stainless steel, 14/20 gold filled, 925 sterling silver and 9ct gold ensures every customers budget is catered for.
Step 2: Measure and cut the chain
Measure the length of chain needed, use a cutter to snip the chain, and then place it around your customer’s wrist, ankle, neck, or finger. Our welding starter kit includes tinted welding glasses, a practice chain, skin protection pad, cutters, and pliers.
Step 3: Add some charm
Your customers can put their full personality on display with a selection of charms that show whatever they are passionate about. To customise permanent jewellery bracelets, rings, necklaces, and anklets, Goodman Bros offers a charm assortment to cover all occasions and memories.
Step 4: Connect the chain
Use a plier to connect the two ends of the chain. Should a jump ring be required, Goodman Bros offers jump rings in several different metal types and qualities.
Step 5: Weld the jump ring
Effortlessly close the jump ring with speed by using the Pulse-Arc Welder. The power and precision of this machine are ideal for a clean, safe weld when securing permanent jewellery on your customer.

Orion mPulse 30 Pulse-Arc Welding System
Built with leading-edge technology, this small powerhouse is designed to serve the needs of jewellers welding on a light-duty cycle, making occasional quick, small welding tasks in the course
of their day-to-day work. The Pulse beautifully handles silver, gold, and most other jewellery metals. And, because conserving space can be a constant struggle in a busy shop, the 5-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ footprint is a real space-saver.
- Power settings range from 5 to 30 watt-seconds, adjustable by 2.5 watt-second increments.
- Spot size ranges from 1 to 1.5mm.
- The touchscreen measures a generous 4-3/8″W x 2-3/4″H.
- The welding station allows both height adjustment and angle adjustment of the stylus holder.
- The mPulse welding station includes a lighted 3-1/2″W x 1-1/2″H view screen with manually adjustable darkening shutter (Shade 5 to Shade 12) to protect eyes when the arc fires.
